Ipswich Windows

Ipswich is a town steeped in history and heritage. Not only is it the oldest Anglo-Saxon town in England, Suffolk’s county town was also granted a royal charter in 1200 with many of the Ipswich’s buildings echoing the town’s past. Ipswich is England’s oldest continuously inhabited town and as such has links to significant historical figures such as Charles Dickens.

Set on the River Orwell, Ipswich is home to a thriving shopping scene as well as a waterfront, which begins at Jerwood Dance House and stretches to freehouse Brewery Tap. The kilometre long-stretch is lined with cafes, galleries and shops, as well as the 19th-century Old Custom House, which recalls the city’s maritime history.
